ALL ABOUT OUR COMMITTEES AND VOLUNTEERS!

Pine Ridge PTO organizes fundraisers and events to help raise funds for things like playground equipment, media center needs, technology, and many other tools to further enhance our children's educational experience.

ART ROOM

Our art teacher could use some help in the art room once or twice a month. Tasks include taking down and hanging pictures, filling glue bottles, cutting paper, and scanning artwork into ArtSonia.

AUCTION

The Pine Ridge Auction is held every 2 years. The next Auction will be scheduled during the 2021-2022 school year. Since this is our biggest and most important fundraising event, it's never too early to start planning! The Auction directly benefits our PTO initiatives. If you enjoy event planning and teamwork, then this is the perfect committee for you!

BOOK FAIR

These are usually held during parent/teacher conferences in the fall and spring. As a volunteer, you will be asked to help the students and parents select and purchase books during a shift.

BOOK SWAP

The Book Swap is a fun way to showcase a unique method of recycling and promote reading at Pine Ridge! Please join us in setting up or helping students shop!

BULLETIN BOARDS

Help is needed throughout the year to keep many of the bulletin boards and display cases current. If you are creative and enjoy decorating, please consider being a part of the bulletin board committee!

CARNIVAL

The Pine Ridge Carnival is typically held in March. It promises to be a fun-filled time with food, games and prizes galore!! In order for this extraordinary event to be successful, we need volunteers to run the games, work on food distribution, and help with set up and clean up.

CULTURAL ARTS

The Cultural Arts Committees mission is to bring artists, authors, illustrators, and other cultural experiences to all students at PR to enhance their curriculum.

HEAD ROOM PARENTS (HRP)

One Head Room Parent is needed for each classroom to serve as the liaison between the classroom parents and the teacher. The HRP will organize Celebration Chairs and parent volunteers to help with each of the classroom celebrations, coordinate door decorations during Staff Appreciation Week (May), and may also coordinate teacher gifts if desired.

LOST FOUND

Manage the school's lost and found area, and work with the front desk to donate clothes at the winter break and end of school break.

MEDIA CENTER

Consider helping out in the media center during your child's scheduled classroom time with Mrs. Zietz! You will help check books in and out, assist in finding books for the kids, and re-shelve books.

ON-CALL VOLUNTEERS
If you are not sure right now how you can help out, but would like to be involved with PTO committees, events and activities in the future, your name will go on our on-call" volunteer list.

ORIGINAL WORKS
Original Works is a special program which allows your child's artwork, created in art class, to be reproduced on a variety of high quality items (i.e. magnets, mouse pads, coffee mugs, etc.). Help is needed organizing and distributing orders.

PAC REPRESENTATIVES
The superintendent's Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meets every month to discuss ideas, concerns and experiences parents or others have within the district. The opportunity to explore issues through group discussion and with appropriate school district personnel allows parents/guardians to serve as advocates for others.

PAINLESS FUNDRAISING
